Sharing the Love

Welcome to another Monday, friends! I admit, I had hoped to start this monday of with a better bang (by sharing the Summer Whimsy dress instructions, perhaps??), but to be totally honest, I didn’t do a lot of work over the weekend. Hubby didn’t have to work and we started watching Parenthood and those two are apparently a winning combination over working on this here blog. So now you know: I’m a TV watching blob, not a tutorial-writing whiz. ūüôā

But I do have some love to share today! Recently, a couple of large blogs have shared my projects and want to take the time and space to thank them publicly. There is nothing quite so validating and encouraging as when another artist (especially one I respect) shares my work. It makes me want to keep working harder and better, because this internet community is such a special place to dwell.

First of all, I can’t hide my excitement over being featured on¬†How About Orange¬†over the weekend. Seriously, I admire¬†Jessica¬†so much. She’s a fabulous designer of many things (fabric included! how amazing is her fabric!?), and a great blogger. I admire her sense of style immensely, which is why I was so honored to have a spot on her blog. Thank you Jessica! She shared about my¬†leather card holder tutorial,¬†and included a link to my¬†sewn pouches for men. If you found my blog through How About Orange, welcome! I hope you find some things you like and decide to stay awhile.

Pop on over now to see the post, browse her beautiful blog and be inspired.

Second, pop over and visit Free Quilt Patterns, who shared my tutorial on how to create your own clutch pattern for any frame. (BTW, If you are inspired to use this tutorial to make a pattern, don’t forget to read this post for step-by-step instructions on how to turn it into an actual clutch). If you’re visiting from Free Quilt Patterns, welcome!

Lastly, before I go start my morning with the children I hear stirring in their beds, I want to thank you all for reading and being so encouraging. It’s so much fun to read your comments and receive your emails. I’m always glad to make connections and help with sewing questions. It makes me feel alive, people. Alive!

And double lastly, if you like what I’m sharing here at CailaMade, consider adding me to your blog reader, or following by email. Then you’ll have my posts delivered straight to your reader or inbox, without having to expend any mental energy and you won’t miss any fun posts! Plus, you’ll be inspiring me to keep on keeping on with the good stuff.

Thanks so much again for your encouragement and inspiration! I hope to see you back here tomorrow with something new.
