You guys won’t believe what I’m doing today! I’m heading to my favorite fabric stomping grounds, THE LOS ANGELES FABRIC DISTRICT, for a weekend of shopping with about 20 other sewing bloggers. Yes, I’m serious! I’m feeling like the luckiest girl in the world right now! I get to meet a bunch of my virtual friends, stay in a hotel, and shop for fabric until I drop.
Pinch me. Is this really happening?! Yes, it is!
My thought right now is that we should have hired my brother to make a reality show out of this weekend, because you KNOW it will be all kinds of hilarious. Next year, maybe! Never fear, I’ll have my camera with me and will get as many fun film clips as I can. I’ll also be covering the whole thing on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #lafabricweekend2013, so you can follow along. Yippee!
The best part about all this is our sponsors, who are blessing us with this incredible weekend. Read a little bit about them below, and please take a moment to visit them! I can’t say enough good things about these incredible companies, who are sponsoring us so that we can find all the best places in LA, search out the best items the fabric district has to offer, and then come back here and tell you all about it.
A special thanks to Andrea, of The Train To Crazy, for all your hard work in putting together this fabulous weekend!
THE ICING ON THE CAKE, is that I’ve also been invited to attend Girls Night Out Los Angeles this weekend, an event sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, and planned by Jessica of MeSewCrazy. We will all be there on Saturday night with smartphones in hand, so be sure to check Twitter and Instagram for the hashtag #gnolosangeles!
Just one last thing before I go… Here’s a little sneak peak of the outfit I’ll be sharing with you here tomorrow. And guess where I got that striped knit?? Michael Levine’s in the LA Fabric District of course!
Now it’s time to hit the road to LA and meet my lovely roommates for the weekend: Sabra of Sew A Straight Line, Stef of Girl.Inspired, Abby of Sew Much Ado, and Cherie of You and Mie. I know, I know. Best weekend ever, here I come!
