Giveaway Day Winners!

Congratulations to Linda and Capitolaquilter, my two Giveaway Day winners! You both win four fat quarters of Heather Ross’s Far Far Away Three! Your prize will ship on Monday, December 10th.

A great big THANK YOU to all of you who stopped by to enter the giveaway, and especially to those of you who are now following CailaMade! I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip here enough to stick around.
In the original Giveaway Day post I asked you what you are sewing for Christmas this year. Linda replied: Awesome giveaway – thanks for the chance to win. This year I’m making a couple of aprons for the girls at work.
And Capitolaquilter’s response was, Bags and totes mostly but I did order hardware for wristlet fobs so that’s going to be fun.
You all have no idea how much fun it is to read all these comments! I read every single one and enjoyed them all. It also gave me a good feel for this year’s hand-made Christmas gift trends. People are sewing a lot of:
  • potholders
  • mug rugs
  • quilts (obviously!)
  • coasters
  • dolls
  • doll clothes
  • zipper pouches
  • coin purses
  • pajamas
Reading about your Christmas sewing makes me all itchy to finish mine! I’m not sewing very many things this year because I’m also finishing up a big contract at work, which keeps me pretty busy. But I am working on some quilts (one very important one for a very handsome man in my life-shhhh), throw pillows, and other fun goodies. I’ll keep you posted on what I accomplish!
Thanks again for entering the giveaway, and for your overall support of my creative endeavors!

Wow, Thank you Caila. I’m so very excited to have been chosen. Heather Ross is holding a workshop locally and I don’t get to go which makes me sad but having these precious FQs will certainly make me smile.
