I’ll admit it to you right off the bat: I am ready for summer sewing in every way possible! My summer dress sewing began a couple of weeks ago, and I just finished this sweet little maxi skirt for Abby.

Adorbs, am I right?

The pattern is the Celestial Maxi Skirt by Figgy’s, and takes the cake for Easiest Pattern I Have Ever Sewn. The skirt took me about one hour to complete, from start to finish, and that included narrating my entire day to my husband. I’m really impressed with the simple instructions, and already pulled the fabric to make a few more. I’m really itching to try this pattern with some different hem styles and hem lengths. A knee length skirt? Something with tulle?

She feels so gorgeous in this skirt, and I love that.

The fabric is a cotton lawn by Leisel Gibson, bought last Summer from my local Jo-Ann’s. As far as I know it’s out of print, and I’m glad I bought yards and yards before I lost my chance!
