Baby Bundle for Silas

There have been a lot of children’s clothes on this blog for a long time, so I think it’s time for something new. And I think it goes without saying that we all share a love of… babies!

Seriously, I can’t get enough of them. Now that my baby is almost 1 year old I feel like my kids are almost grown and gone. I mean, what’s the difference between one and 18 years? The blink of an eye.

Anyway, babies. Thankfully, my friends are all still having babies (quite a lot of them actually) and that’s fine by me because I LOVE making baby gifts. I originally started sewing because I wanted to make things for my baby girl (duh), so making baby bundles always takes me back to that time. My dear friend Cassie is pregnant with her first baby–a BOY!–so I had a lot of fun putting this one together for her.

His name is Silas, and his nursery theme is woodsy/rustic. Perfect, right?! It couldn’t have been a better time for Lotta Jansdotter’s new fabric line Bella to come out for Windham fabrics. Ador-able.

Here are some quick pics of the bundle I made for Silas: a changing pad and three burp cloths. Of course there is more to come because our church is throwing a shower for Cassie, too, and HOW could I not make more things for baby Silas? How, I ask you?

But I can’t tell you what else I’m making because she is reading this right now. Ahem.

I’m also working on a tutorial for the changing pad, so that will make it’s way to you soon. You can find a tutorial for the burp cloths here.

Thanks for reading, friends! And thanks, Cassie, for your wonderful friendship and for working so hard to grow that beautiful baby boy. I can’t wait to meet him!
