All That I Have Sown {Week 6}

“In all things, give thanks.”
  • Deciding to post this even though it is four days late. 🙂
  • Sweet girl turning two
  • Her little voice, “Ma burfday!”
  • Playing leggos with her on the floor while Hudson miraculously slept in
  • Abby’s pride in her leggo tower, “Mommy, look, ma towa!”
  • Looking into her bright eyes as much as I can on her birthday
  • Rolling fondant into lengths of golden hair while she “helps”
  • Edible glitter all over the floor, on little toes. She exclaims, “Oh noooo! I clean up!”
  • Her willingness to help,
  • Her willingness to give.
  • A beautiful cake. How do I always get so lucky without messing these things up?
  • Hudson on her birthday, wanting to make her something–a blanket “with cars on it.” Ha.
  • My big boy helping me pick up last minute items for the party, carrying the balloons. He has truly become a helper.
  • Singing along to the Tangled soundtrack with him in the car at the top of our lungs. I laughed so hard I could barely sing along!
  • Stryder, who can go anywhere, be with anybody and be happy.
  • Friends to celebrate with us.
  • Karaoke!
  • Singing, “Wandering free, wish I could be… part of your world!” with Sister at the top of our lungs. Who cares how we sound?
  • Girls in the middle of the living room sharing mics, singing to the PartyTime Country Girl mix. Oh yeah!
  • Our husbands just watching us and talking. 🙂
  • Two candles in the cake
  • Abby’s wide eyes as everyone sings Happy Birthday. She looks at me as if to say, “Are they singing to me?”
  • Her grandparents, both sets. Extravagant love for our girly.
  • Princess dresses.
  • Princess everything.
  • My girl, who opens up a ball (with princesses on it) and won’t look at another gift or toy for the rest of the night. “Ma ball, ma ball!”
  • Dress-up bracelets on little wrists.
  • Abby sitting with all the ladies.
  • Taking the time to enjoy this, to enjoy her.
  • Tenderness.
  • Carrying two children and a big bag through the pouring rain to the van so we could pick up Hudson from school. (Stryder in the sling, Abby on the hip, bag on the shoulder).
  • Hudson’s words later, “You carried both the kids, mommy?! I’ve never even seen a superhero who could do that!”
  • And again, later, “Mommy, how did you carry all those people without dropping them?”
  • And again, “Mommy, you’re the strongest mom I’ve ever seen.”
  • Spontaneous words from my boy, “I love you so much, Mommy.”
  • “I’m your boy, aren’t I mom? And you love me, don’t you?” Smiling face looking up at me. He knows how much we love him.
  • So thankful that actions speak so loudly.
  • A best friend, partner, husband, to do life with.
  • Valentine’s Day lunch date, only spending $20, taking a beautiful walk together, just talking.
  • A beautiful brick wall for pictures
  • My cheek pressed up against his warm, baby cheek
  • Blond hair growing in on little head
  • Bright blue eyes always looking
  • Unique smiles on my little ones
  • Happiness
  • Always, plenty to do at home
  • Never bored
  • A new season approaching
  • Less than 30 days left on our apartment lease
  • Wondering what exactly comes next?
  • Looking forward to the future, “Hope does not disappoint.”
